Restaurant review: Thai Hut, Phx north downtown

Buddhist temple in Thailand

PHOENIX -- Doing my part to help the Arizona economy, here's a restaurant review.

While in the capital tonight, I went for a walk and found the Thai Hut, a relatively new family owned spot just north of downtown at 101 E. McDowell Rd.

I had Pad Ped with three stars, a spicy chicken dish. It was quite good. Spicy enough to make my lips hot and tingly, but not at all burning in my throat or stomach. Tasty.

My waitress Pui was very nice. This place is pretty chill, basic with some funky lamps hanging from the ceiling, a lunch counter and even wireless internet.

Service was good and prices fair. Check it out.
