Progress: dirty Mohave coal plant to be torn down
BULLHEAD CITY AZ -- Good news on the energy front this week with the announcement that the closed and infamous Mohave Generating Station, a dirty coal-fired power plant in Laughlin NV, will be demolished.
Southern California Edison, Salt River Project and other plant owners have made a wise choice to focus on clean renewable energy and tear down this terrible polluter, which for decades fouled the air of northern Arizona and the Grand Canyon.
The demolition project will create a lot of jobs and so will the focus on a clean energy economy.
