Live Earth was important, fun and successful event
TUCSON -- In my view, Saturday's Live Earth concerts for a climate in crisis were a success in drawing more attention to the big threat of global warming pollution.
The downtown Tucson event on 4th Av. was packed, with hundreds watching the show.
Thanks to all the organizers and performers who made Live Earth happen, now it's up to all of us to live more simply and reduce our pollution.

Unless you live under a rock, you know about global warming. What a person may not know is how to connect with neighbors and local communities. A rock star is not going to empower you or lead the way on this. In fact, it perpetuates the disconnect between the 'big stage' and your own backyard.
The event in Tucson was packed, but with the usual suspects. We need to turn off the tv and walk the sidewalks and begin the important work to save our planet bwtn our families, friends, collegues, and neighbors. Duran Duran is not in my zone--are they in yours?
