Bob Lord for Congress

TUCSON -- CD 3 congressional candidate Bob Lord (D) was raising money at a mid-town event today. Many prominent Pima County Dems, and some Republicans, were there backing him.

After a delay in Dallas, I got back from Washington DC just in time to make the event.

Lord is running against incumbent right-wing extremist John Shadegg (R).

I've met and talked with Bob twice now, and he is a smart, friendly moderate who has a decent shot at winning the metro Phoenix seat.

In other good news today, the Arizona Diamondbacks clinched their division and home field advantage throughout the Major League Baseball playoffs.
