Solar plant offers hope in troubled AZ economy

TUCSON -- This morning along with other leaders, I participated in the grand opening of Solon's solar panel manufacturing plant in district 29 near the airport.

As solar power producers at home, my family and I know solar works. I have high hopes for the economic and environmental benefits of this venture, and a secure, renewable and clean energy future for our world.

Today's grand opening is a bright spot in an otherwise bleak Arizona economy.
