Tortoises suffering from Army base expansion

Will the imperiled Desert Tortoise survive the feds' death by 1000 cuts mismanagement?

BARSTOW CA -- The US Army and Fish & Wildlife Service have suspended failed efforts to move endangered Desert Tortoises off Ft. Irwin. The already giant base is undergoing a controversial expansion on to BLM public lands and critical habitat.
