Tucson wisely out front with rainwater law

Tucson leads the nation with smart new rainwater law.

TUCSON -- Good move by the City Council for voting for more rainwater harvesting for use on commercial landscaping.

For years, my family and I have collected and used rainwater at our south side home. Not only does it save money and reduce our dependence on imported CAP water, our garden, trees and plants thrive on the higher quality rainwater from our 800 gallon cistern.

Installation of rainwater systems will also help create new locally-based jobs.
