Under President Bush, corporate penetration into the top echelons at Interior resulted in a prison term for its number-two official, losses of billions in oil royalty dollars and scandals ranging from sex and drug parties to unprecedented political manipulation of science.

Daniel, I hope Obama is listening.
I hope you can do something to stop the Augusta Resources Rosemont Mines, Portland quarries, and other mining and industrial plans targeting our vanishing wildlands and watersheds. Good luck with a Republican controlled State Legislature, and Republican Governor Brewer -- I'm hoping for a miracle, and stewardship will awaken in Arizona Republican majority.
