Giffords Tucson shooting suspect #2 cleared
TUCSON -- UPDATE, Sun. Jan 9, 1:06pm: Investigators said yesterday that this man might have been some kind of accomplice, but information developed since has lead them to believe otherwise.
Pima County Sheriff's Deputy Jason Ogan said investigators did eventually talk to the man and cleared him of any involvement in the shooting.
The man is a cab driver who drove shooter Jared Lee Loughner to the grocery store where the shooting took place. He told authorities he went inside because Loughner had not paid his fare.
Ogan said that while the cab driver has been cleared, investigators still are not 100 percent certain that Loughner acted alone. -- adapted from azfamily.com, channel 3
