Rockies & Dbacks gone makes tax even worse idea

Republican AZ Rep. David Stevens of Cochise County is pushing a plan for higher taxes in Pima County to subsidize pro baseball.

TUCSON -- With the Rockies & Dbacks officially announcing today they are done with spring training here, the proposed Pima County baseball tax is an even worse idea.

AZ GOP legislators cut schools, jobs and healthcare but want new higher taxes to subsidize Major League Baseball!?! The county is not asking for this, and wisely so as it is a badly out-of-touch priority.

A new stadium for no teams would be a dumb waste.
